Wedding Photography Kent

Frequently asked questions

What do the photography packages cover?
All of the wedding day packages include photographs covering the bride getting ready in the morning, the wedding ceremony, formal and informal shots of the Bride, Groom and guests at the wedding venue and shots of the guests arriving at the reception venue, plus cutting of the cake. (Cutting of the cake shots will be taken before the wedding breakfast, and so will be staged if necessary).

Do you stay to take pictures of the party?
The photographer will leave once the cutting of the cake shots have been taken. Cutting of the cake shots will be taken before the wedding breakfast, and so will be staged if necessary. Party photography would need to be pre-arranged and would be an extra cost.

What type of album will we get?
If you have purchased a wedding package which includes an album or photobook, the specific name/style/specifications for each option can be found on our 'packages' page.

What if we don't like the included album or have something else in mind?
Middlewall do a selection of different albums which you are welcome to choose to have your photos in. However, this may incur extra album costs if you order something different to what is included in the package.

What happens if the photographer is ill?
In the unlikely event of this happening, I will give as much notice as possible and recommend an alternative photographer or agency that can provide last minute photographers.

How and when do we pay?
A deposit will be taken when you confirm your booking. This will secure your wedding date. The outstanding balance will be taken one month before the wedding date unless otherwise arranged. I can accept payments through PayPal or by cash or cheque.

Can we choose the type of photographs we want?
You can advise me that you like a certain type of photograph or theme and I can try to meet the requirements for you. I would like to point out that wedding photography is quite dependent on what is happening with the weather, and sometimes needs to be quite flexible. For example, if it is raining and impossible to take the photographs outside, somewhere inside will be located to take some shots instead.

Can we get reprints for ourselves, friends and family?
This is possible and can be done via the photographer and there will be extra charges for the prints.

Do we get our images on a disc? If so, can we print them?
You do get your wedding proofs on a disc but these will be low resolution (unless you have chosen option 1) and are not recommended for printing. If you require a disc to print images from there will be an extra charge.

We want something different included in a wedding package, is this possible?
If this is so please ask because we are always happy to try to get the most out of your wedding photography for you.

Do we own the copyright to the wedding photographs?
The photographer always retains the copyright to any image he or she has taken unless otherwise arranged. Photographs can not be represented as taken by another photographer and cannot be sold on for personal gain.

When will we get our finished album or photobook?
The photographer will aim to provide the album within 6 weeks of the wedding couple choosing their final selection of photographs. This is subject to workload.

What happens if the photographs are lost?
In the unlikely event of this happening the photographer cannot be held responsible for loss of data captured on the day by a camera or memory card. Alternative photographs can be taken at an arranged similar location if possible in the event of this happening. Images will be burned to disc and backed up to an external hard drive on the same day as the event.
