Do you only cover weddings in Eastbourne?
Weddings in Eastbourne and throughout East Sussex are covered. Weddings outside of Eastbourne may be charged a small travel fee. Weddings outside of East Sussex can also be discussed, and will be charged an additional travel fee dependent on location.
How and when do we pay?
A non-refundable £100 booking fee/deposit will be required when you confirm your booking. This will secure your wedding date. The outstanding balance will need to be settled one month before the wedding date unless otherwise arranged. Payments can be made via cash, cheque, bank transfer or through PayPal. Payment option details will be provided on booking. If you would like to pay with cash, please advise this beforehand so a receipt can be prepared. (Please do not post cash.)
What do the photography packages cover?
All of the wedding day packages include photographs covering: the bride getting ready in the morning, the wedding ceremony, formal and informal shots of the bride, groom and guests at the wedding venue, shots of guests arriving at the reception venue, plus the cutting of the cake. (Cutting of the cake shots will be taken before the wedding breakfast, and so will be staged if necessary.)
Do you stay to take pictures of the party?
The photographer will leave once the cutting of the cake shots have been taken. Cutting of the cake shots will be taken before the wedding breakfast, and so will be staged if necessary. If specifically required, party photography needs to be pre-arranged before the wedding date and will be subject to an extra charge.
Can we choose the type of photographs we want?
You can advise that you like a certain type of photograph style or theme and every attempt to meet your requirements will be made. However, wedding photography is quite dependent on what is happening with the weather, and sometimes needs to be quite flexible. For example, if it is raining and impossible to take the photographs outside, somewhere inside will be located instead.
We want something different – is this possible?
All packages can be adjusted to suit your requirements and we will be happy to discuss any variations with you.
When will we see our proofs?
Although we strive to provide photographs as promptly as possible, please allow up to six weeks for delivery of photo proofs during busy periods.
What type of photo book or album will we get?
If you wish to purchase a photo book or album as an optional upgrade, your exact requirements will be discussed and a quote will be provided based on this. In some situations, such as last minute changes with the suppliers, slight alterations may be necessary at the discretion of the photographer.
When will we get our finished album or photo book?
The photographer will aim to provide the album within 6 weeks of the wedding couple choosing their final selection of photographs. This is subject to workload and full payment being received.
Can we get reprints for ourselves, family and friends?
Yes, and these can be ordered via the photographer. There will be an extra charge for reprints.
What images are included on the USB?
The usual minimum number of pictures supplied on the USB is 150. This will vary depending on specific wedding requirements – for example a wedding with fewer guests, or a wedding not requiring preparation shots, will have less photos taken. All of the best pictures of the day plus a duplicate set in black & white, will be provided on a USB in high resolution (300dpi) files suitable for printing, as well as 10 photos (of the photographer’s choice) enhanced in a vintage style. We strongly advise that you get your photographs printed by a professional printing company for the best results, and as such recommend that any reprint orders are placed via the photographer.
Do we own the copyright to the wedding photographs?
No. The photographer always retains the copyright to any image he or she has taken unless otherwise arranged. Photographs can not be represented as taken by another photographer and cannot be sold on for personal gain.
What happens if the photographer is ill?
In the unlikely event of this happening, as much notice as possible will be given and an alternative photographer or agency that can provide last minute photographers will be recommended.
What happens if the photographs are lost?
Images will be copied onto a USB and backed up to an external hard drive on the same day as the event. In the unlikely event of photographs being lost, the photographer cannot be held responsible for any loss of data due to a camera, memory card or computer malfunction. In the event of this happening, arrangements to take alternative photographs at a suitable location would be offered.
